Strange Campus Sightings

It blows my mind, but I actually saw Abdul Herrera, the basketball player no longer playing for KSU, in Hale library at 8:30 on a Friday night.

And for the biggest fish out of water story of the year, Ron Prince walked right by me on Saturday, the same day of the KSU Spring Game.  Although I saw him on campus, not at the game, it was quite awkward seeing him there anyway.  I figured he would be far from Kansas, coaching his special teams players in Virginia by now.

Former good, latter exceedingly strange

It’s good to hear that Herrera is taking care of his academics. It’d be a real kick in the nuts if he left school in an academic mess, both for his own sake and because of the damage it can do to our scholarship count (cough Jason Bennett cough).

But I cannot imagine a reason why Ron Prince would be on campus. None. Is he trying to learn from Bill Snyder? Was he hoping he’d get hired as the backup offensive coordinator? I’m with you, wabasher, I would have figured he’d be as far away from Kansas as possible.
