Some recent good stuff at Big-12 Hardball

SB Nations opened a blog dedicated to Big-12 Baseball this season.  It is well worth checking out.  The coverage slants dependent on the writer but all Big-12 baseball fans will feel welcome.  The Bat Cats are looking good this year.  Seems like an ideal time to join the chatter.

Some recent articles:

An open conversation on how you see the conference race shaping up.  What teams are likely to fade?  Who will surge?  Who is who they are?

You can take part in a weekly Pick 'em contest at the site.  Leave your predictions each Friday, gather up praise or shame each Monday.

An interview with KU baseball head coach Ritch Price.  Price talks about KU’s season and how he sees the Big-12 race now.

Prospect preview of Baylor’s roster.

An interview with John Sickels at the Kansas - Texas game last month.  Sickels talks about evaluating NCAA talent, the state of Big-12 baseball, Star Treck, British socialism and more.  Great interview.  Look for Sickels comment on Byron Wiley about half way through the interview.

Plus weekly statistical and standings updates for all teams.

Thanks, James

I promoted this to the front page because I think it’s a good site for our readers to check out. Since there’s not a lot of discussion around Big 12 Baseball on any K-State site, this is worth checking out.

Thanks for the bump.

K-State has a hell of a fun team this year. Some good pitching. Nice slap hitting. One million stolen bases. I like how the Bat Cats play. Small guys with dirty uniforms and a “screw the polls” attitude. If I was not already a KU fan I’d have no trouble cheering for the K-Staters this year.

Of course KU will beat KSU in May. That will happen.

Any baseball fans who lives in Manhattan who doesn’t go to the game on Friday should be stamped “insane” right away. Morris vs. Brooks Raley. That is one hell of a match up. Raley emasculated the Jayhawks a few weeks back in College Station. When he is on he is out of this world good.

You know if TB visits a site it is all about quality!

Good luck with A&M this weekend. That is a hell of a series. I can’t understand how TTU took them down last weekend, but at least it means they are vunerable. I think the Aggies are the best team in the conference right now.
