The amount of blind faith that many Wildcat fans shamelessly display for Bill Snyder, despite the miraculous turnaround that he orchestrated during his first coaching stint, deeply concerns me.

Mark Mangino, a former Snyder assistant, is building a monster down the road in Lawrence in the exact same mold that Snyder once used. Gary Pinkel, though it took him longer, has also done a stellar job of resurrecting the Missouri program. Two local rivals that Snyder used to beat like a drum now own the local recruiting scene.
Gary Pinkel: 5 bowls, 2 North titles in 8 years
Mark Mangino: 4 bowls, 0 North titles in 7 years
How exactly did it take him longer?
And yes, I realize that quote probably isn’t why you posted this… :-)

Point well taken, Boy
Also, Kurtz’s terrible syntax in the quote above destroys any interest I have in reading the rest of the story. People believe in him blindly because of the miraculous turnaround, not in spite of it.

Meh
I have my reservations, sure, but this kid came off like a raging doucher. I don’t think these dudes are getting as good an A.Q. Miller education as I did.

What?
I thought blind faith was believing in something you had never seen before? Lots of Wildcat fans may be guilty of believing it is going to be deja vu. Who dosen’t like to dream of 11 win seasons and going to at least the Fiesta bowl. Probably won’t happen, but let me enjoy my fantasy.
