Baseball
- Last night the Bat Cats disposed of the Shockers 13-5 at the Frank. The second game of the series is tonight in Wichita.
Football
- Bill Snyder had his second Spring Practice press conference yesterday. Apparently, the team is "vastly inconsistent". We must be ahead of the curve!
- Tim Griffin weighs in on the quarterback competition going on during this Spring/Summer.
- Keithen Valentine has impressed during spring practices, and he's happy for a second chance after being benched and not told why by Prince.
- Jeffrey Martin summarizes the press conference yesterday in his "K-State Notebook".
Men's Basketball
- The basketball team had it's award banquet last night, and Denis Clemente came away as the big winner. The second-team all-conference selection walked away with the team MVP award.
Fourum
- Yeah, it's Fourum time
To the guy who got pulled over by the bike cop in Aggieville: Grow a pair, push him off his bike and run next time.
I'm the one, and my roommate, are the ones who got robbed, in the paper so uh, if you just want to leave our stuff on the porch, that'd be legit.
I was walking to Aggieville and it smells like Froot Loops. Why does it smell like Froot Loops?.

I always wondered what happened with Keithen
Not to bring up a moot point, but one of Prince’s biggest faults may have been his inability to actually communicate with his players. The could give the press a show, but it sounds like the guy never really talked to the players that he felt didn’t matter. Props to Valentine for keeping his head up and wanting to prove himself to Snyder. Though, he’ll have his work cut out for him once Daniel Thomas steps on campus.
Does anybody really know what position Daniel Thomas will be at in the fall?
I had originally thought he was supposed to step in at QB, but there hasn’t been any talk about that during the spring.

He hasn't officially qualified yet...
Rumor is that he has, and he’ll be here for the summer workouts.

OK - so that's why Synder's been hush-hush
Well, at least about him anyway…
But is he supposed to challenge for the starting QB spot or go another route?

I imagine he will be looked at for the QB position first...
unless he really wants to be at another position.
I wonder what the RB situation will be like when Hubert and Flanders come in the Fall. Maybe they’ll redshirt?

My guess would be that Snyder's first look at Thomas is QB
Though I wonder how quickly he’ll grasp the system. If he would have qualified sooner and been here for spring workouts, I would put him in the top of the mix for QB. Not getting here until summer or later creates a sharp learning curve to catch up to Coffman and the others.
Based on earlier discussion of Golden Grahams, Golden Crisp, and urine...
I think I’ll leave the Froot Loops comment alone.
