Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Check out this video on Bubba Starling. He's a junior quarterback from Gardner-Edgerton (KS) High School. I hope K-State is watching this kid. We could really use him. I've seen him play on several occasions and the kid is just flat awesome.

Word is......

he’ll be drafted in the MLB draft and won’t be stepping on a college football field at all.

Speaking of recruiting and QB's

anybody heard anything on Cameron Newton? Apparently we are still on his list.

He is taking visits

to Oklahoma, Auburn, us and North Carolina.

Will not sign on Dec. 16 as originally thought.

We’re still battling, but OU’s gonna give him the hard sell Saturday in Norman, so we’ll see…

Where would he fit in there?

Especially with Blake Bell already committed?

That's what I was thinking...

Newton has made no secret that he wants to play immediately, so I would honestly be surprised to see OU land him. But it is OU, so who knows? I still see him going to Miss. State.

It'd be a shame

to lose two QB recruits back-to-back to schools in Mississippi (Raymond Cotton to Ole Miss last year)

It's OU

The name alone commands attention, unfortunately.

Back to Bubba

Word is Alabama has offered a full ride to Starling in both baseball and football.

I'm assuming that means football, since they're all full scholarship or walk-on.

Doubtful that he’ll go to college at this point, but you never know.

Glad I came, just wish I hadn't stayed so long.
