Quite a bit of basketball action yesterday, mostly among our non-con opponents — most of whom won, thankfully.

And the Big 12 virtually is assured of winning the Hardwood Series outright for the first time, holding a 6-2 record after Saturday's games and with Kansas scheduled to bash UCLA's brains in this afternoon.

Game results after the jump. Also, be sure to vote in my quick poll. I'm interested in seeing where Wildcat Nation's sentiments lie on this one.

Apparently the polls don't think so today

but that’s understandable. We win the next two games and you damn well better believe we should be crackin’ the polls.

These are great Bracket....

….one suggestion though. What would you think about adding a line for Marquee Wins? That is:
Marquee Wins (RPI 1-20 or Top Ten Team)
Great Wins (RPI 21-50)
Solid Wins (RPI 51-100)

Don’t think that wins over UNLV, A&M, Texas, or KU wouldn’t wow someone more than the Dayton win at the end of the year.

Two points:

1. Dayton will get back into the Top 25. Don’t undersell that win.

2. I consider anything above 50 marquee. That’s just a matter of personal taste, of course. But don’t expect IUPUI and Loyola to linger up there much longer. It will all sort itself out by the end, no doubt.
