Around SBN: SB Nation interviews Jerome Bettis

The guys at Rock M Nation had the idea first, but who would you put in K-State's all decade team?

Had to look back a bit on this one

But I can’t say that we fielded many good players in the early 2000’s. But here’s what I got:

G-Jacob Pullen
G-Clent Stewart
F-Michael Beasley
F-Cartier Martin
F-Jeremiah Massey

It’s obvious that our best players over the decade were all forwards. Not a lot of consistent great guard or any decent play from any centers. Honorable mention:

David Hoskins, Bill Walker, Denis Clemente

Yeah that was the hard one.

I’m a big Clent Stewart fan and was able to see what he brought to the games every year. He’s not a pure scorer like Clemente is, but he brought in the “intangables” that helped his teams win.

I guess if I were to put an individual list up there the vote goes to Clemente, but if I were assembling a starting 5 TEAM I would give the nod to Stewart.

I don't know about that

I think Pullen fills the role you are assigning to Stewart.

I’d still have to go with Pullen and Clemente. Most prolific duo not named Evans and Williams — that’s hard to argue with.

You nailed the forwards, though.

Or Pervis Pasco?

Maybe an honorable mention for memorable moments…?

I don't think I could ever justify

giving him any sort of credit towards K-State basketball due to that one little incident against a Colorado team…..

That is unfortunetely ALL I really remember of him…
