(Tyshawn) Taylor could miss two or three practices because of the injury, Kansas coach Bill Self said.
Self has kept private the team's punishment over the fight but said the school has brought in lecturers on social issues to address the players. He was vague about those talks, saying the speakers wanted anonymity.
Dealing with Morningstar's arrest might be even more complex. Self, when asked whether the charge has led him to question whether the player has a drinking problem, said it had.
"It's something we've talked about," Self said. "He's dealing with experts on it. I don't believe it to be the case, but he has to be open and honest with us and the people who are counseling him."

Missed practices and lectures
Oh, Bill, you slay me.
And I love how its questionable that a player with multiple DUI run-ins, who had a blood-alcohol level twice the legal limit, and who asked, “How can I make this go away?” has an alcohol problem.
Yeah, Bill, I’d say he has a problem.
But you gotta feel for young Mr. Morningstar. It’s just so damn hard to travel around Lawrence and the KU campus.
You can’t take the elevator, because of Sherron Collins, and now you can’t take the stairs, either, thanks to the Morris twins.

Ouch.
Kudos to Bill for getting a handle on this and sending these boys a message. Of course that message is, “do whatever the hell you want, because I’m not about to do anything that hampers this season,” but it’s a message nonetheless.

Social lecturers and alcohol education
It certainly is a touchy-feely approach, isn’t it?
Every day, it seems like KU wants to be more culturally like CU a.k.a. their daddy.
