Okay, that was lame, but today, KSU takes on the Idaho State Fighting Jared Allen's in Bramlage Coliseum. Panjandrum will be here to discuss the game with you if you're interested. TB is being a good fan and actually attending the game.

The team is shooting well...
But I don’t ever want to hear, “Colon from seventeen,” again this season.

However, "Fred Brown for three," is totally acceptable at all times.

Buchi playing well. Good hustle son.

Jamar Samuels deserves to get frequent flyer miles.

Okay, back from half, and I've gotta say...
With Clemente out, having Fred Brown in the game isn’t a drop off at all. In fact, I kind of like having a Fred/Jake combo on the floor a little better…

Thoughts
Didn’t get to the game as I had car trouble in Topeka. I guess that’s what you get for driving an econo-box with 110,000 miles on it. Also didn’t get to watch much of our game, either, as we only had one TV and the KU fans around me were much more interested in KU/UTenn than K-State/Idaho State.
Looked like kind of a ho-hum effort out of the Cats today. Some good defense, some good plays on offense, easy win without a lot of spirit. Jamar Samuels seems to be developing nicely. Having Denis Clemente out with the flu was probably good in a way, as it gave Fred Brown a chance to run the point a lot in game situations.
Oh, and I just want to note for the record:
Technical Fouls this year: Bill Self — 2, Frank Martin — 0. Although Self’s technical today was tremendously effective, as the officials didn’t dare call a foul on KU after he threw his fit.

Absent.
I planned on hanging around and watching the game as I took a break from some yard work. Alas, I was called into emergency baby-sitting duty as my sister had to go to the doctor. From the 5 minutes I watched, it seemed like our defense was solid and we moved the ball decently on offense.
As for the technical foul count, I wanted to mention that anybody that thinks Frank yells and screams too much on the sideline should have watched Nick Saban during the Sugar Bowl last night. At two separate times I thought his ears were going to bleed. Although, Little Nicky should be given some slack since his defense was getting lit up by our new OC.
I'll be honest...I took the dog out sometime after half and realized that this would be a great chance to wash cars...
So I listened to the rest of the game on the radio.
Honestly, though, this game was kind of a snoozer. Aside from Jamar being super awesome jumping guy, it was standard.
However, I will say that I hope the team stays this hot from the perimeter. They shot well today. If they do that well against OU, we might kick off the conference season with a really nice win.

Made it to both games today...
Frank and Co. sleepwalked through a non-con game and the women looked fantastic again. Bonus: I made it on the Moustache Cam. Ya. Good times.
Awesome
Maybe we can get you on EDSBS’ Moustache Wednesday sometime.

I wish against wish, and hope against hope...
that someday I can grow a moustache worthy of the cam.

clarification....
apparantly 2 week old stubbly beards are worthy of the cam as well. I don’t want to give the impression I’m sporting a handlebar on my face.
So I have a chance!
In my case, I’d have to stop shaving for a month to get there, but it would be worth it.

Yessssss....
I can do that. I’m well on my way with a 1.5 week holiday stubbly beard.

Although I will say..
Dom Sutton is a fucking beast on D. He provided some much needed excitement in an otherwise yawner of a game.
Challenge: Name the last player at KSU as good as Dom defensively...
Akeem Wright?
Discuss.

Dom is the best I've seen since Akeem
They’re out of the same mold. Long arms and legs, but big strong guys. Dom has a much better offensive skill set.

Akeem Wright was definitely...
the last player as good. Except that Dom is much more athletic I think and has the potential to have a dangerous offensive game as well. Other than Wright, I can’t remember another player this good defensively.
