Greatest College Catch
There's been a lot of talk going around recently about Edwin Baptiste's catch the other day. I've been seeing a few polls debating who's had the best catch of all time. So I decided to make one of my own. And of course being a KSU blog I had to include one of Jordy Nelson's receptions.
Here's a few links to the catches via youtube:
Chris Moore, Western Washington University, 1992
Edwin Baptiste, Morgan State University, 2008
Tyrone Prothro, Alabama, 2005
Jordy Nelson, Kansas State University, 2007
And on a leg snapping note, Prothro also has this highlight. Note: If you get a little squirmish with leg/foot injuries - do not watch.

Wow
After watching that catch by Baptiste, the first thing that came to mind was those Gatorade commercials where athletes are doing impossible things but make it seem ordinary. (LeBron draining it from full court, the QB throwing it out of the stadium). Moore’s catch is probably the most unbelievable, but as far as pure athleticism and hand-eye coordination, Baptiste’s is it. Moore’s was mostly luck (the ball hit him in the freaking numbers!), but I’ll give him credit that it took some focus and coordination to finish the catch.
I was there to see Jordy’s, and it was an amazing catch.
