Great day yesterday, as the Cats beat Baylor and Oklahoma State beat Nebraska. Now, one game stands between us and our first NCAA tournament berth. Unfortunately, I won't be able to watch as I'm leaving shortly for Indianapolis Motor Speedway, so keep things updated in my absence.

Texas scored one in the first and was shut down by AJ Morris in the second, KSU got two singles and a bunt single with no outs but only one run in the second.
Ouch!
By giving up four runs in both the third and fourth innings we put ourselves in too big of a hole. We made a small comeback scoring five in the fifth but were still down three after that. Texas poured it on after that and won 15-6.
Too bad
Thanks for commenting, wabasher. The 500 was great, but I was anxious to hear how the Cats did.
Too bad a good RPI, some good wins, and a run at the end of the year wasn't enough to sneak into the NCAA tourney, but that's what happens when you are .500 overall.
