Joe Bob's Back?
I loved saying his name after a big play.

If true...
…I’m sort of indifferent on this. I’ve always like Clements, but I hope he’s not our DC. I still want Vic Koenning at DC. Now position coach? Sure, bring back a fiery young alum.

Agree on Vic...
According to J-Mart’s post here, Vic already has a kid ready to follow him anywhere.
I can only think it is this guy:Link

It'd be a great start
especially since K-State doesn’t typically bring in 5* talent.

I'm having some conclusional delusions here...
So Joe Bob Clements is DE coach. I’ve heard rumblings that the defensive staff is near completion, so I would hazard to say that Mo Latimore will be D-Line coach again (much in the same way as 2003 with Clements and Latimore).
What seems more interesting to me is that a defensive position coach has been conPrinced, I mean confirmed. Does it seem that a DC would normally have some say as to who the positional coaches are or whether they can work with them? It makes me think that Phil Bennett is a more likely candidate than Vic Koenning, but that could be completely unfounded. I have one puzzle piece and I’m envisioning how the rest of the pieces will automatically fit around the one.
It seems there is interest/speculation from other teams regarding Bennett and Koenning. We may just have to play the safe card here and stick with Tibesar…..j/k

Yeah I find it weird
that they would go ahead and let this run considering Synder said he would only unravel his coordinators when he’s all finished. That being said, I bet the DC has already been picked out and has accepted a position. Then again he did do a great job under Synder before, maybe Bill just wanted him on his staff regardless of what anyone else thought.
Tibesar needs to be demoted to towel boy on a team like Indiana State (0-12 this year in the Missouri Valley)….

My guess...
…is that the DC has already been wrapped up, we’re just awaiting an announcement. The Clements thing probably became public knowledge because he was ready to get out of Lawrence posthaste.

I think from an integrity standpoint...
Clements did the right thing here as well. He’s a good guy and the last thing you want to do is burn bridges by accepting a job with a rival program, keep it under wraps and continue recruiting under your current position. He did the right thing and I wish him the best but not to much good fortune back home in Manhatten.

The only reason this became official...
before Snyder announced the whole staff was because a recruit Joe Bob was in contact with for KU leaked it to a reporter. I think Snyder decided to go ahead and let Clements get a head start on recruiting and other job details since it was pretty much out in the open. That’s my assumption.

I think it's safe to assume that if recruits were aware of Joe Bob's change...
that both schools were aware also.
