Check out this NY Times article chronicling the recruiting battle over Lufkin, Texas, defensive lineman Jamarkus McFarland. Thank goodness the NCAA -- led by outgoing KU chancellor Robert Hemenway -- has stopped schools use of charter planes and private flights to transport recruits to campus. Something terribly inappropriate could happen on those that didn't happen during the recruitment of McFarland.
