Programming Note
I am flying out of KC this afternoon, so the post-game reaction is going to be a little delayed. I will get it posted sometime this evening.
For now, it's more than safe to say that I have never been more disappointed in the direction of the K-State football program than I am right now. We just got beat by 31 points by a team that is probably going 7-5 this season.

Looking forward to it.
Heard from someone within the AD that there will be a press conference on Monday.

Prince always holds his presser on Monday...
However, who knows if there will be anything more to it tomorrow.
I talked to TB last night, and I know that we’re both pretty fired up. I’ll be travelling for work this week, so I’ll contribute as time allows, but we’re definately thinking change is needed at this point.
I’ll let him speak for himself, and I’ll probably chime in a couple of days from now.

Could do worse...
I have always thought firing a coach during the mid season was stupid. We had our arses handed to us, big time. Some players are stepping up, others, obviously are not. KU, even if they had one win, is a big game. It is a matter of pride. Only one team showed any emotion or passion. It was not the dudes in the purple pants.
I realize we are a bit upset and rightfully so. However, the best move of the game was putting Carson in. Should have done it earlier. Maybe stitting down our man mountain is just what he needs. Let him watch a bit, maybe he’d think less about the NFL and a bit more about the Wildcats.
If the walls (offensive line) are caving in every play, sure, anyone will look off their game. But a good QB is adaptive. Freeman might be a cool headed person, but being an emotionless statue is not a positive. Unflappable is one thing, uninspired is quite another. We poked fun at Todd and his not so glorified pictures all week, however, the boy has passion. That passion carries over in everything he does. We have a robot, going through the motions, in an almost uncaring manner.
Our Defense did not help us much in this game, but our lack of Offense put them in a hurting way all game. To say we are playing poorly is an understatement. A few are playing with passion, but not enough to matter. We are a ship out on the open sea, tossed by the waves, no power, and torn sails. Our captain is too busy designing his Capital One card.
I do not know if any players read this site, but if there are, I give the following advice;
1: To win, requires passion in all phases.
2: It is not from within that you will find your strength.
3: It takes only a single flame to extinguish the darkness around you.
4: Find that flame.

I do not condone firing a coach in-season...
Especially after 2.5 years, and, theoretically, when bowl eligibility is still there.
However, at the end of this year, he needs to be removed. That’s all there is to it.

Tending towards agreement
I think HCRP knows it is near the end of the line. I think he is realizing that Freeman has the tendency to choke. He has turned it over too much as of late and has sputtered as well.
Hope he addresses this in the next few games, as it is the only way we are going to a bowl.

I meant my comment to be taken with a grain of salt.
Nor do I condone firing in the middle of the season, but you’re right…he doesn’t have what it takes to coach at this level and he needs to go after the Iowa State game.

No, I understand...
I’m just stating my case.
I’ll let TB kick things off as to where he wants to go with this. I know that we’ve talked about our feelings on the future of the program, and how we want to relay those here, but this last game kind of changed everything.
I’ve been off the bandwagon since the Louisville game, but I wanted to keep my ‘Fire Prince’ rhetoric to a minimum. Now, I think it’s probably necessary, and we’re not going to pull many punches from here on out.

Again, I'll be looking forward it.
The Louisville game did it for me as well. Except that I still held on to a glimmer of hope that he could at least get these kids playing well enough to win 7 games. The next few games completely solidified my view of Prince though. There is a complete lack of preparation for games, absolutely no game time adjustments, zero player fundamentals or player development, etc. etc. Nothing changes from game to game. We are laughably predictable on both sides of the ball. To top it all off, we just lost by 31 to a team that is likely to go 7-5 this season. This is not an attack on Prince the man. I don’t know him and he is likely a good man and person. This is a condemnation on Prince the coach. Plainly, he’s not very good at it.

I'm not going to berate Ron Prince, the man, but...
I will speak out against Ron Prince, the coach. I simply don’t know him personally, so I won’t comment. Nor will I attempt to paint a picture of a man based on the scuttlebutt I hear from message boards. People that I’ve spoken with that know him personally like him. They just don’t think he’s a very good football coach.
Considering that my concerns are with Prince, the football coach, I’ll go ahead and stick with that.

I'm back in Houston
…and I’m working on the reaction post. Sit tight, give me an hour, and it will be up.
