Sitting in Nebraska listening to Gregg Sharpe calling the game for the Huskers. Just feels wrong.
They (pre-game color guys) are currently bashing K-State fans for not filling the stadium. “You’d think they would show up just to see the OTHER team, to witness quality BIG XII opponents.”

…I loathe Deon Murphy? God.Damn.It. He would have had a 10 yard return if he had just gone up field, but instead he danced around, lost 3 yards, and now apparently fumbled the ball over to NU.

NU Radio just said “You might have noticed that Greg Share is not calling the game. Just before kickoff he got the phone call – his wife Amy went into labor and is at the hospital delivering their third child. Greg is in the car driving back to Lincoln right now. If you are on Highway 77, stay out of his way!”

NU Radio just apologized to the K-Sate fans for calling them out prior to the game, the stadium apparently filled up right after the game started. They said, “Perhaps they were caught up in the police escort getting Greg Sharpe out of Manhattan. We’re not kidding folks, we thought that was just a turn of phrase, but it means something here! Greg got an actual police escort to the edge of town.”

…then they went into the semi-annual discussion of how many NU fans come to this game because it is the ONLY Nebraska game they can get into due to NU’s sellout streak.
I’m calling BS on that – BTW. You can almost ALWAYS get into the games here in Lincoln. Between people selling tix and ones on sale outside the game, I could walk in to about any game played here. I get offered tix many times a year, and they KNOW I’m not an NU fan.

Hard to say at this point
His draft stock has really never been lower. It will all depend on what kind of system the next coach runs. If he thinks it’s going to be beneficial, he might stay. If he doesn’t, he’s probably gone. One thing’s for sure, whoever the next coach is will probably be more than willing to work with him, given his natural abilities, and Josh has always seemed to be a pretty agreeable young man. Maybe it’s the homer in me talking, but I’d guess there’s a slightly better than even chance he stays.

Oddly enough...
I liked the purple pants with the purple jerseys moreso than with the white jerseys (In fact, I hated them with the white jerseys). Weird.
Now if we just had lavender jerseys…
