This incident, along with shoddy media conferences running 40 minutes late, along with a university president handing athletics director jobs to his friends as loyalty gifts, is a glaring example of the amateurish glaze that has coated KSU athletics for too long, Bill Snyder aside.

I think Wefald was a good UP...
He just needs to keep his hands out of the athletic department.
Host dinners for recruits, talk to families about the education at KSU, etc. Just leave the AD alone, man. Just leave it the F alone.

Random comments...one should expect no less.
Termination of HCRP: I’ve stated before that I never liked this fire a coach in the middle of the season, or in this case, with 3 games left unless you had something better in your organization or a inked contract with a winner HC ready to go. I realize that HCRP would find a way to loose each of those games anyway, but I find it repulsive and vile, idiotic and unprofessional. That stated, like most Wildcat fans, it was time for a change, just a tad bit premature. It was a distraction, just as it was to us fans, it was to our players. Reading the websites, a new coach was more improtant that a game VS. Mizzo. Sad, very sad.
On Friday Issue: It was posted, true or false, creating much excitement then dispaire. Like the termination of Prince, this too was handled poorly, and perhaps prematurely. I can only imagine what TCU players thought about it. It is why this mid season firing stuff is foolish. If it were true, which most hope still is, it still is not fair to our team or his. I do not in any way hold this site in the wrong, as indeed it was not started here. Excitement is a snowball that becomes an avalance in the wake of a depressing season otherwise.
On Freeman: If he thinks the NFL is were he ought to go, then he should go. However, new coach or not, his play has become progressively worse as the season ticks, as if he has an undisclosed injury. It is foolish to continue to play him if such is the case. Our lack of offense has destroyed our defense (what little we have). They actually held up fairly well in the first half.
On Ne(w)brAs(s)ka: If we want to win, need to change QB. At first I thought it was a Run issues, but hard to run when your QB is not a threat to throw.

Interesting point...
“I never liked this fire a coach in the middle of the season, or in this case, with 3 games left unless you had something better in your organization or a inked contract with a winner HC ready to go.”
I believe our administration, even with all the incompetencies they’ve shown, already had GP in the bag when they decided to fire Prince. Otherwise they probably wouldn’t have let him go with this much football left to play, and a shot (albeit an outside shot) at a bowl game.
Though, I agree it does no one any good to fire a coach with three games left to play. Other than satisfying a disgruntled fan base, it creates many distractions for everyone involved.
