Questioning The Oklahoma Sooners With CC Machine
Greetings K-State fans,
Matt here from SBN's Oklahoma Sooners fansite, Crimson and Cream Machine. We are working a cross promotion of this weekend's OU/KSU game with the fine folks here at Bring On The Cats. As a part of the game preview we are putting up FanPosts on each others sites to answer questions about our teams.
So, what do you want to know about the Oklahoma Sooners? I'll check in daily and try my best to provide you with the answers.

Me first...
Can our athletic department borrow money from your athletic department to buy out a certain someone’s nudge nudge contract?
question
How big of a heart does Bob Stoops have? I mean, does he feel sorry for the other team vis-a-vis Pete Carroll against WSU or is he more like Mike Leach?
Has Bob Stoops "changed" for the better?
One of my very best friends spent the entire day with the team last week, including during the game as he was invited to join the coaches on the sidelines. He mentioned the fact that Bob has lost some of the “fire” but replaced it with more compassion, and the players have responded well to that.
Two Birds With One Stone
Despite the efforts on Texas fans to paint Bob Stoops as the spawn of Satan he really isn’t a bad guy. He spends time every week at the Children’s Hospital and is very approachable. The thing about him that gets blown out of proportion is that he’s EXTREMELY COMPETITIVE and HATES TO LOSE. That is what drives him and why he is so fired up on the sideline.
I don’t know that he’ll come out after any game and say that he feels sorry for a coach but we’ve seen him call off the dogs in six out of seven games to try to keep the final score respectable. I don’t think he is treating the players any different than he always has. He expects a lot from them and if you make a stupid mistake then you have to pay the price. The difference this year is that mistakes have been cut down by a considerable margin which results in a cooler/calmer Bob Stoops.
I hope your Bob..
is a merciful Bob.
