nice schedule

other than bouncing around on Nebraska, that's nearly mine.

DVR - I have to get a two-tuner DVR so i can flip around.

It's currently 1:00 p.m....

and it's 89 degrees and feels lik 96 in College Station, Texas.  A&M vs. Fresno State starts in 1.5 hours.  God bless television.

Thoughts so far

Nebraska has looked really spotty.  Keller has mostly looked bad, but that late TD drive was impressive.  Wake is using the misdirection on offense to great effect.  If not for a butterfingered receiver, WF might have another TD.  Given all that, Nebraska is still ahead and will probably wear down the Demon Deacons.

OU is beating up on Miami.  Late score got UM back into the game, but things have not been pretty for the 'Canes so far.

What is up with the Big 10?  Michigan State is tied with Bowling Green, Ohio State is apparently playing baseball against Akron (3-2), and Nevada is up two TDs on Northwestern (in Chicago).  Purdue is the only one looking impressive, and that's against Eastern Illinois.

WVU just scored to stretch its lead on Marshall to 11 points.  Not a real impressive outing by the 'Eers.

Internet radio?

I'm watching Michigan get crushed by a very entertaining Oregon team.  It's halftime, but I'm waiting to see more statue-of-liberties.

A couple questions:

Does anyone know the spread on the SJSU game?
Where can I listen to it online?

Thanks.

Listening

Don't like what I'm hearing about this first drive.  Defense needs to stiffen up.

Listening to Wyatt on the radio is agonizing.  He never gets excited about anything, so it's hard to tell what's happened from the tone of his voice.  On top of that, he doesn't realize he needs to say "pass caught" before he goes on to described what else happened.

End of 3rd

And still not a very impressive outing by the Cats.  Up 17-7, but given a couple of drives we've killed this half (bad throw by Freeman for INT, punt in SJSU territory) we should have put this game out of reach.

There isn't going to be a lot of positives to talk about this week for the Big 12.  Right now, Texas trails TCU, Iowa State trails UNI (who is I-AA, or whatever), Tech leads UTEP by only three and UTEP is in the red zone.  About the only positive results are Okie State up big on FAU and KU up big on SELA, but if they were doing anything less, I'd be concerned.

Let's tack on three touchdowns here in the fourth and put it away.

More like it

Got a little running game established with James Johnson over 100 yards and some nice runs by Leon Patton.  Deon Murphy sounds like the playmaker he was made out to be.

34-7 and I'm breathing easier.  Fairly good game overall, other than Freeman's two INTs.

Wow

Radio just announced Josh Freeman took the field with the "hands team" on SJSU's kickoff.  That has to be the dumbest thing I've ever heard.  Why the hell would you risk your starting QB on special teams?  Surely we have a fourth-string WR who can catch the occasional onside kick...

Not very happy with the late defensive effort giving up that TD to SJSU.  A win is a win, I guess.
