I looked up the point spread. K-State is currently a 15-point underdog at Texas. That feels good to me. Though I don't think the Wildcats have the same momentum going into the game as they did last year, I like our chances. Obviously, a road game has proven a challenge for K-State teams in the past, but Auburn showed the team responded well in a big game environment. If only, Texas could fill the stadium with apathetic UT basketball fans.
Here's a few things I think K-State needs in order to pull of the upset.
-A special teams touchdown. I'm sure this is something the coaching staff is building towards, and the special teams has the tools to do so. Neon Deon.
Continued solid play from the tight ends, until the KSU wide receivers can break open (or until a flea-flicker-reverse-option-pass).
-As much Brent Musburger as possible. I remember the days when every third sentence from Brent was "Big 12 spring champion, Terrence Newman."
-Constant penetration to rough up Colt, like we did to him last year, and like we did to Brandon Cox. Texas looks similarly thin at QB.
-Wouldn't mind having Josh Moore back.
